I have gotten myself a Eufy Dual Camera doorbell. A new HomeBase 2 came within the package.
Since today the Eufy Security app supports the Dual Camera Doorbell.
However…now it says that first the HomeBase needs a firmware upgrade.
(Or I should use the HomeBase which came with the doorbell, which I obviously do)
@eufy ; any ETA on a new firmware for the HomeBase 2 to support the Dual Camera doorbell?
Looks like another problem from Eufy even the new goods do not work which is typical from Eufy all they are interested in are sales with no after sales assistance and support.
According to the website it starts shipping late February and the add-on unit late March.
I have seen some shop selling the doorbell already in my country, but I doubt that’s what eufy intended.
So I guess they have until the end of February to get the app update out (for Android) as that’s the official release moment.
As for the add-on unit, as that starts shipping end of March, they would have until then to get existing Homebases updated.
I’m receiving my unit on Thursday, hopefully the app is updated by then and the new Homebase also had the correct firmware.

I can assure you, the app is updated and new firmware for the HomeBase is there.
(Also the dual doorbell itself got a firmware update after installation)
And I agree, I think some shops started selling a bit to early…which made Eufy look bad.
I emailed support and this morning I got the firmware update for my existing Homebase 2 (T8010): 3.1.6.6h, which is about a month before they start selling the add-on unit.
Don’t know if eufy can do this, but I also got the app update available in the Play Store.
For some reason she said, while I found the app update already:
"For better performance, we are developing a new App version to work with this doorbell.
If everything goes well, it will be released within this month. If you don’t mind, could you please wait a little longer?"
I expect this to be about the update I got this morning, so there might be some miscommunication between the teams.
