When I am away from home it is almost impossible to hear the notification sound on an iphone. There should be a possibility to change the notification sound and duration of the notification. Otherwise the alarm is unusable

I agree. They should make a different/unique sound for Eufy alerts vs the phone’s default notification sounds.

if a motion detector detects movement while security is set to “away from home” then i want to hear a sound that is long lasting and loud and penetrating
There is a very simple solution: just make it possible in the automation mode that if the homebase has an alarm, give a push-notification to the mobile (a very annoying loud sound that last for at least 5 seconds)
