2K Dual Camera Battery Doorbell...new user (some questions)

So, now have it mounted (as the new porch is mostly done)…

We’re a south facing house in the UK, meaning the front of house gets sun, all day. Ignoring for a moment that the 15 degree angle bracket probably isn’t “enough” to let the camera see people walking up (I may buy a 3D printed riser) - and I’ve seen that if it’s “too warm” (outside) the PIRs may not detect a person, as they are as warm as ambient…

I’ve done some tests with loitering detection (set to 25 secs), and it seems that the camera gives an alert/response, even if someone has pressed the bell - i.e. someone walks up, wonders where the button is (because the blue LED ring hasn’t lit), waits 10 secs, presses the button, and I answer via the app.

In the above example, it was my child, and I opened the door, let them in, hung up the app, and the doorbell gave the loitering “Excuse me” response…surely it should disarm that if someone has answered the bell? Or (if I hadn’t answered) given the default answer?
