I have the 2k battery video doorbell which is less than 1 year old, and last night, while taking the unit off the bracket to charge, I noticed cracks on both bottom corners of the doorbell had formed. The unit is still fully intact however the cracks are clearly visible from both the sides, and the bottom of the doorbell unit itself.
My doorbell has never been dropped so am therefore baffled as to how this could have happened. Interestingly, the two screws holding each of the bottom corners where the cracks have appeared are showing signs of erosion, which could indicate the weather may somehow have something to do with this?
Either way, it’s safe to say the experience has left me questioning the build quality of eufy products. I also recently purchased the 2k floodlight cam, and just hoping I don’t see the same happening to that.
Keen to know if anybody else has had a similar experience with their video doorbell?
