Overview:
Use of Eufy Smart lock and it’s keypad to allow a lawn care professional, pest care professional, electric company meter person, or contractor to authenticate themselves with a code provided by homeowner that temporarily disabled alarms on selected outdoor cameras on house perimiter.
Wishlist feature details:
Allow servicer e.g. lawn care person, contractor etc. to be issued a code that they can type into the smart lock via keypad (similar to guests) that can change the security mode of the house for a preset amount of time so that outdoor camera alarms do not go off while the servicer is working.(Note: door remains locked, code desn’t unlock the door)
Example scenario:
Lawn care person or pest control person gets issued a scheduled code by homeowner. They arrive on property while homeowner is at work/away and input code on keypad of smart lock. The system recognizes/authenticates code and is then set from away mode to a custom or other ‘lawn’ mode for 30 min so that lawn/house can be mowed or sprayed without the cameras and home base alarm going off and scaring the servicer and neighbours.
