If nothing else @eufy or @anker needs to add open API to stay competitive in today’s world. Plenty of people are moving into home automation and don’t go with eufy because it’s an extreme hurdle even to get viewing access. But then again I am not currently convinced they care much about making current users happy, they make enough from the receiving door of new customers who haven’t seen how limited they are on eufy brand. Don’t get me wrong love your hardware but please start improving your software.

I bought a eufyCam 2 kit and I was planning to buy a doorbell and a vacuum cleaner, but this silent from Eufy put me on standby mode.

I wholly support this. Actually I came here looking to see if there might already be something on the homebase-2 station that “they” eufy is using themselves to get information that they post on your web-page for your device…Apparently the answer is, no…or if there is, they aren’t talking about it.

A Restful API would be great. I would love to be able to have my ITSM monitoring system track battery status of the cameras and alert me when I need to recharge them.

Another backer here.
Keeping a closed ecosystem is the single biggest reason to look for other solutions. So please, support external APIs at least.
