+1 and especially since the recent move to not support HomeKit which was the reason why i bought these cameras and whole ecosystem to begin with! What was a great concept and company is all of a sudden going the way of all the other useless spyware and trash. I thought this company was going to be different sadly it appears we were all fooled again :frowning:

At least open up the API and let the open source community do something with all this great hardware that you’re now intent on rendering into junk

Since Eufy can’t seem to get their act together and fix the software for the products they have, I fully support this!

Seriously? You can’t even make multiple home bases work together? Start fixing the products you have instead of devoting all your resources towards developing new ones.

Just posting to add my name to the petition.

Good luck with this, you’re talking to the brick wall that is the home security/camera business model. I’m still trying to replace my Foscams - they’ve gone the subscription route too.

Go get a Yi and hack it - see github.

+1 for this. It’s a must
I have hold to extend my eufy ecosystem for two years now… basically because of lack of integration.

I can’t belive that there hasn’t been any response from Eufy. Do they not read their own forums?

It’s a real shame, I was hoping to extend my current setup but won’t now because they don’t provide any OpenAPI connectivity. I am looking into alternative providers - do let us know if there are any that you would recommend.

I bought the doorbell with the homebase 2 from Amazon just a couple of days ago. After failing to integrate it to Home Assistant and reading this +1 year old thread and the absolute lack of communication from the company, I’m effectively returning the product. Would love to hear from anyone in the same situation that successfully found a replacement. Thank you.

I support this petition! Will switch to another manufacturer if this doesn’t happen.

It is one of the most viewed, replyed and liked forum and reletive old. How likely you see this happening? We are all in the same boat

Great idea! But I doubt that Eufy will ever change their business models. They don’t want an open API because it will kill their terrible cloud storage option.
@eufy doesn’t care about customers.

People dont seem to understand eufy has no public relations people. I used to work for a chinese tech company, this is par for the course. Best bet is to see if they have a display at CES or computex and rail on them there on video. Make their marketing team sweat a little.

You are wasting your time! Eufy totally doesn’t care what you want in a product. They are busy following some mindless strategy of producing new products that are just rehashes of their existing products.

They don’t have competent developers to fix their own products much less open up any new functionality and do it correctly. Their original data and design model made some sense. What they are doing now is just adding bloated code and inferior devices on top of an existing infrastructure that is getting pretty strained.
