Plug in transformer for Eufy 2k Video Doorbell in the UK?

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting in this forum. I recently purchased the battery Eufy 2k video doorbell, which supports a wired connection too. Overall I’m happy with the device except for battery life.

I want to purchase one of those plug in adapter transformers.

However it completely died within 12 hours of use (it did charge it up to about 15% in that time).

I have two questions:

  1. Does anyone have any recommendations for another adapter I could purchase (UK only)?
  2. When connecting one of these plug in adapters, do I have to also change some setting on the doorbell through the Eufy app?

I think you must have been very unlucky, that’s the same one I’ve been using since last June and no problems at all. Didn’t have to change any settings at all, worked straight out of the box.

Oh I see. Thanks for letting me know. I’ve purchased an official Ring one now and it’s working well so far

Thanks for the link. However I ended up getting an official one from Ring and it was also £15, and seems to be working well

@ste1011, @Najah, I know you posted a while back in March 2021. Just checking how is the adapter performing with the battery-powered Eufy doorbell. I am thinking of buying an adapter but am put off by people complaining about the humming noise or the adapter getting hot. Is this https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0815SFYP4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share or Ring official one still a good choice?
